“The evidence gathered indicates that these two individuals have taken different positions in the structure of ISIS, and they are also the object of investigation by the competent Iraqi Judiciary Authorities.”
The investigation by the PJ and the Public Prosecutor’s Office also counted with the collaboration of the SEF “and, at an international level, with the cooperation of Iraqi judicial authorities, through UNITAD-UN, whose support allowed the gathering of sufficient evidence to impute the aforementioned crimes to those citizens. “.
The arrests and searches took place in the Lisbon region.
“There were no indications that they had committed any crimes of this nature in the national territory.”
