Italy beat Turkey (3-0), in the first round of Group A of the 2020 European Championship. The match took place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
In a game largely dominated by the transalpine team, Roberto Mancini’s team only managed to find the opposing networks in the second half. An own goal by Demiral (53’) and goals by Immobilie (66’) and Lorenzo Insigne (79’) sealed the Italian triumph.
With this result, Italy climbs to the top of Group A with three points, while Turkey takes the last position. In the next round, the Italians receive Switzerland, in Rome, and the Turks travel to Baku, in Azerbaijan, to face Wales.
