Intention to maintain dialogue with FIFA and UEFA

This afternoon, given the rumors of the Super League announcement, UEFA immediately made it clear that anyone who would play in this new competition would be banned from domestic and European competitions. In light of this, the founders of the Super League say they want to keep the dialogue going.

“The founding clubs hope to hold talks with FIFA and UEFA in order to find the best solutions for the Super League and for world football in general. The creation of the new League takes place in a scenario in which the pandemic has accelerated the instability of the current economic model of European football. For years, the founding clubs aimed to better the quality and intensity of European events and, in particular, to create a tournament in which the best clubs and players could compete more frequently “, can read in the statement.
