The person responsible for Friday’s attack on the Capitol, which caused the death of a policeman, has already been identified by US agents. This is Noah Green, a 25-year-old from Indiana. Through what he published on social networks, it is believed that Green, who was killed in the aftermath of the attack, was an admirer of the leader of the Movement of Islam, a black nationalist movement. Green accused the US Government of being responsible for its “terrible suffering”.
When the United States is still recovering from the January 6 attack on the Capitol, about three months later, another attack has shaken Congress’ security. A car tried to force a security barrier on Friday and ran over two policemen. The driver then got out of the car and stabbed one of the agents, then being shot down by the police. The stabbed agent ended up dying and the other was injured.
“The agents approached the suspect. He did not obey verbal orders, ”said Yogananda Pittman, the capitol police chief. “The suspect started to move towards the Capitol police officers and it was then that those same officers fired on the suspect,” he explained.
Although the authorities said there was no continuing threat, the Capitol area was on the alert. The entire perimeter was isolated and the headquarters of the Congress closed.
The perpetrator of the attack was later identified by the authorities as Noah Green, a 25-year-old from Indiana. The motives for the attack are still unknown, but investigators have ruled out terrorism and are now investigating Green’s track record to see if he suffered from a mental disorder.

The capitol police chief said that Green is not in the Washington Metropolitan Police or Capitol Police database, but is known to have a criminal record in other states in the country. Authorities are now looking for clues through the attacker’s social networks.
On his Facebook page, which is now offline, Green said he was experiencing difficulties in these pandemic months, saying that he had recently lost his job and that he was “faced with fear, hunger, and loss of wealth”.
“To be honest, the past few years have been difficult and the past few months have been even tougher,” Green wrote on his Facebook page on March 17. “I was tested in one of the biggest and most unimaginable tests of my life,” he added.
The young man described himself as an admirer of the leader of the Movement of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, a black nationalist movement that advocates African-American self-reliance.
“My faith is one of the only things that has been able to endure me during these times and my faith is centered on the belief of Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan as Jesus, the Messiah, the last divine reminder among us”, wrote Green on Facebook . “I consider him to be my spiritual father. Without your guidance, your word, and your teachings that I learned along the way, I wouldn’t have been able to continue, ”he adds.
“The American government is the number one enemy of the black people”
Green’s various social media posts suggest that the perpetrator suffered from a mental illness, including paranoia and delusion, as he described being under “mind control” by the FBI and the CIA.
Less than two hours before he was killed, Green published a series of stories on his Instagram account, including videos of the leader of the Movement of Islam. in the caption of one of the videos shared by the young man, as described by CNN. In another publication, Green wrote a week ago that he believed Farrakhan had saved him “from the terrible suffering” he had been through, pointing the finger at the FBI and the CIA.
In response to a comment on his Instagram post, Green wrote: “I suffered several home invasions, food poisoning, assaults, unauthorized operations in the hospital, mind control”.
Noah Green, a graduate in finance, also spoke on his social networks about his relationship with drugs, stating that he was experiencing side effects “from drugs he was taking without knowing”.
Capitol security was strengthened following the January 6 invasion by supporters of former President Donald Trump, which left five dead. However, the congressmen continue to demand more security.
Green failed to break through the security barrier at Congressional headquarters on Friday, and National Guard troops provided immediate support, the death of a police officer, William Evans, raised new questions about the constant risks to the Capitol Police officers who are on the front line.
