Mercedes reveals the Silver Arrow for 2021

Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance is the car of Hamilton and Bottas

Mercedes unveiled the new car for the 2021 Formula One season on Tuesday, with the Silver Arrow winning silver, but keeping black as dominant in the painting.

The black tone was adopted last season to underline the fight against racism and in favor of diversity in sport and the message remains in the new W12.

The Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance receives changes from its predecessor, especially in terms of aerodynamics, in accordance with the new technical regulations for 2021.

Some of the new aerodynamic adaptations of the F1 Mercedes have already been revealed and can be seen in the gallery, but there are others, such as the flat bottom, that the German team still does not want to put in view of their opponents.

Inside what was already the case with the W12, the monocoque or the gearbox are the same as its predecessor, but the quest to get more power out of the engine continued.

Mercedes is one of three teams that maintained the starting lineup of drivers already in 2020, with Valtteri Bottas and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton afterwards and a lengthy contract renewal just for this season.

The Formula 1 World Championship starts on the weekend of the 28th of this month with the Bahrain Grand Prix.
